Herbal smoke blends
have been around for thousands of years. Many of these blends have stood the test of time. The reason they have stood the test of time is because they work well and are safe. Herbal smoke blends do not always have to be “smoked” to be effective either. In fact, one of the most popular herbal smoke blends in existence is incense. The burning of herbs is an ancient practice and goes back to our true spiritual roots. Every since Mankind discovered fire, herbs were burned. They were burned as a right of passage (coming and going), to protect from evil spirits or negative chi, and to gain deeper spiritual understanding of the universe and of our own souls. The Ancient Egyptians used Sacred Blue Lotus for many ceremonies. They would soak it in wine and smoke it at the same time. The flowers of the blue lily contain apor-phine, which is closely related to the opiate apomorphine. It was used in wine and smoked like a cigarette to achieve a state of euphoria and happiness. The Blue Lotus was also worshiped as a sacred flower by many cultures and religions. You would find it at funerals, left in tombs, as decoration in nearly any ceremony. The American Indians had their peace pipes… which contained barks, tobacco, cannabis and various herbs. Every culture has a smoker’s ritual of some kind. Smoking herbs has been one of our oldest rituals in human history.
